These terms

This platform is operated by Legis360 Centre for Advocacy, Development and Public Enlightenment Initiatives for the West Africa Youth Observers Network (WAYON). By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the platform.

What this platform is

Public information about the network, a library of its documents, and the means to apply for membership. It is not a general social network, and it does not publish election results.

Who may use it

Anyone may read the public pages and download the documents. To apply for membership you must meet the requirements set out on the "Who can join WAYON" page, including being aged 18 to 35 and a national of a participating country.

Applying for membership

  • Give accurate information. An application that contains information you know to be false may be refused, or withdrawn later.
  • Apply for yourself. Do not apply on someone else's behalf.
  • Only give a referee's name and contact details if you have that person's permission. You are sharing someone else's information with us, and they are entitled to know.
  • Applying does not guarantee membership. The secretariat takes the decision, with input from your country chapter.
  • If your application is not successful, you may apply again after the period we tell you.

What you upload

Your CV and your statement remain yours. By uploading them you allow us to store them and use them to assess and administer your application, as set out in the privacy notice. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.

Using the platform fairly

Please do not:

  • try to reach information or accounts that are not yours;
  • collect or harvest other people's details from the platform;
  • upload anything harmful, or try to disrupt the service;
  • impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your connection to any organisation.

We may suspend or remove access where these terms are broken. Where someone's safety is at risk we will act immediately.

Our documents

Documents in the resource library may be read, quoted and shared with attribution, unless the document itself says otherwise. Each page carries a citation you can use.

Availability

We aim to keep the platform available and working, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Features will change as the network grows.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do.
